On a serious note, Valentine’s Day, also called the Feast of Saint Valentine, is an internationally-acknowledged holiday, celebrated on the 14th day of February, and symbolizes the people’s celebration of love. The holiday has originated within the Western Christian tradition as a method of honoring Saint Valentine. He was a Catholic priest who had been wedding people despite Caesar’s prohibition. Pope Gelasius I has initiated the Valentine’s Day Celebration in 496 AD, and he chose February 14th to be the holiday’s date because St. Valentine died on that very day.
